About him
first time...
I'm fortunate to live very close to Lyme Park (National Trust) in Cheshire which you might know better
as the setting for Pemberley for the 1995 television series of Pride and Prejudice starring Colin Firth.
In common with Mr Darcy, I'm charming, intelligent, handsome and amusing (not forgetting modest)... the similarities stop there, however, as I don't own a huge country estate and prefer to leave drama to professional actors.
My goal is to find a like-minded partner who is intelligent, funny, attractive and great company. I haven't yet given up the possibility of being a dad but it's by no means a deal breaker.
Live music (especially indie and post-punk bands) has played a huge part in my life and I continue to enjoy going to gigs, comedy nights, galleries, museums, etc. for a regular cultural fix. I really enjoy exploring new places, meeting new people and trying new things and enjoy planning outings almost as much as the activity itself.
Whilst I live in Cheshire where the majority of my family are, I'm not especially tied the county and I'd like to live in a different part of the country in the future. I'm drawn to rugged countryside and the coast which leaves plenty of options open, although North Yorkshire always feels like a second home whenever I spend time there.
To use a couple of farming metaphors.. I'm not one to follow the herd, more plough my own furrow. I'm definitely more 'Cold War Kids' than 'Coldplay' which will certainly sort the wheat from the chaff.
If you're also not averse to becoming a 'Grand Designs' self-build co-conspirator, then I know that we'll definitely get along. After all, who doesn't enjoy several winters in a freezing static caravan? (joking)

Gigs, films, comedy, restaurants, wilderness exploration, eagle flying - that kind of thing. Now that I think about it, I should really be playing him down as his splendid company is a very rare thing.
