About him
My friends would describe me as funny, loyal trustworthy and kind. I can be sceptical at times and a bit scathing, but I have a generally positive outlook on life.
I have many likes and dislikes, but a choice few would be:
Cats, marmite, driving, other drivers, gardening, films, pizza, people who dawdle. I let you figure out which is which. Or send me a message and ask!
I like DIY. I am looking to build my own house, hopefully next year.
I run. I've done a couple of 10K races and a half marathon this year, and have another half in Spain in November. I enjoy the feat of completing the race rather than the competition element.
About his ideal match
Some qualities I would look for would definitely be laughter and a sarcastic sense of humour. My humour is sarcastic and dark at times so someone who appreciates that would be great.
Soneone who likes family. Someone who is on the shy side and not too extrovert, as I am.
I would want someone to trust implicitly. I've been cheated on in the past, so feel very strongly about this. Talking and expressing differing opinions helps a relationship last.
I want someone who I can share things with, like hobbies etc but would also not mind if we had different passions. I really enjoy the cinema, so a fellow film lover would be great. I enjoy trying out new activities like clay pidgeon shooting. Also love comedy shows.
Sorry but for me a deal breaker is children. I knows it less common nowadays to find someone who hasn't had them, but I've had relationhips in the past where they have had children, and I just want to be able to experience that first child with someone in the same position. Oh and no smoking!

What can I say about my mate Adam.......loyal, reliable, generous, honest, funny, trustworthy, dependable, very well travelled, from a great stable family - he's got it all really. In fact, I feel jealous and inadequate just talking about him. He's been my best mate for pushing 20 years! In fact the only reason I want to help him is because being the busy, hard-working guy that he is working for the police he simply doesn't have time to do it himself! Ladies, I know one of the first things you look for in a guy is solvency - his own car, his own house, independence, etc. well Adam ticks all these boxes too owning his own 3 bed house and car. He's never been married and has no children from previous relationships. He often beats himself up over his weight but I can tell you now that he is not overweight or in any way obese - he is naturally stocky - always has been and needs to be these days because of his job. Nor is Adam a 'player' of any kind - his previous girlfriend was a long-term relationship lasting 4 years.
He's just a normal down-to-Earth bloke who has been single long-enough and who deserves to be with an equally nice lass who'll look after him and deserves him.
