If I had to choose a companion to go dancing with or someone to hold my hand when times are hard I'd choose Barnes. I've had more fun with Barnes buying a newspaper than I've had with most people on a night out. He' s also that most rare of friends, one you can rely on.
He is one of those people who light up a room. When he walks in the atmosphere brlightens and everyone feels a bit happier. The conversation becomes wittier, the stories more outrageous and the company appears to shine with a new lbrilliance. A famous host and cook, he entertains with great generosity, both in spirit and kind. He is not one to suffer fools gladly or to succumb to tedious routine. Possessed of perfect taste and a wonderful knowledge of art and antiques, he creates beautiful living spaces and appreciates the finer things of life. He can be spontaneous or hard-working as the situation demands. He is friends with people from six to ninety-six in age, being ageless himself. He is loyal, kind, generous and quick-witted, with a great sense of humour and of the ridiculous.
I'd love to see Barnes find someone who would appreciate him, allow him to be himself and enjoy being with him. He deserves a special someone.
