MY friend Paul was cut out for being at the center of all things happening. He's an up and goer, proven by the phone call I got from him the last time we were meeting up in the pub; on my way there, on the bus, I got a phone call with a cheeky voice at the other end asking if I had my passport on me. If not, could I please go back and get it because he thought it would be a great idea to nip over to Meribel for a little ski trip. We leave in two hours.

Not one to sit still for long, Paul is a key character in a large group of friends, and unlike some people in their thirties, he seems to constantly add to this group by picking up strays he meets along the way. He's very successful, owns his own photography company which he is extremely passionate about. He's a good'un for getting us entrance and tickets to all sorts of events! Yey Paul! But he most definitely works to live, not the other way around.

I met Paul 3 years ago, through a fantastic charity we both work with, which Paul is now a board member of. I have grown a huge amount of respect for him since, and he has proven to be a friend to rely on for everything you need in life; be it help moving flat, organizing fund raising activities, going on holidays with, getting under the table drunk with and also dancing on table drunk with. But more importantly he is amazingly good at listening to annoying girl chatter for hours on end and offering remarkably good advice in any given situation. He has an adorable nephew which he seems to be dedicating his life to teaching bad man things to which provides us all with endless brilliant anecdotes, and it would be so lovely to see Paul settled with his own family.

As you probably gather, I strongly approve of Paul finding the right girl, and when he does (he's fussy in a good way about this- taking his time to meet miss perfect for him), I know he'll make her incredibly happy...
