Hi I am Rob, I am an engineer who likes people, which is a not a normal stereotype. I love talking to people, discussing ideas and points of view.
My bucket list includes seeing the Grand Canyon , learning to fly (or at least be able to land) an aircraft and going to Disneyland (I never went as a kid!).
I am from Plymouth and moved to Derby for work; I miss being able to sail but being able to walk in the Peaks is a nice consolation for not being by the sea.
I am looking for a partner who is also interested in people, things and ideas. Someone who is curious with a sense of humor.

I've known Rob for a few years now and he's a genuine person and a loyal friend.
He's certainly a brainbox - I find him very useful as a walking/talking encyclopedia! But he has a finely tuned sense of humour too and rarely a lunchtime goes by without us having a good laugh about everyday things.
He ticks all of the standard 'datable' boxes - he enjoys walking in the peak district, he's a big fan of his family dog and even likes cooking (more BBQ than bake off!). He's a regular gym goer, but doesn't take it too seriously, no posing in the mirror with 'the guns' or anything like that. He's more of a fireside snug guy than a clubbing legend.
This is going to sound like a romcom diary entry, but Rob is a kind person with a lot to offer who I think would be a sure bet. Right, time for me to go and look at cars and football and manly things...
