My mother is a bit of a gem. She's a generous and loving mother and grandmother who looks a good deal younger than her age. She's stylish, young at heart and enjoys having fun. A Londoner by heart, now that she's on the road to retirement she can indulge more in exploring the South West from her new base in Frome. Rome and her annual South African trips are on the list for this year and she loves to travel and try out new things with Marrakech being the last place a few months back.

As to you, you're going to have to make an effort to impress her. If your life revolves around the football or your first love is your Sky plus box please don't get in touch; she will sift you out! Similarly if you can't hold a decent conversation or if your first date plans don't stretch past pizza hut and the local then I'm sorry, this isn't going to work. Workaholics need also not apply as you have got to find quality time to invest in something worthwhile.

That said, if you're willing to treat mum as she deserves; are charming, caring, good natured, intelligent and a bit sparky then you should definitely drop her a line and see where it takes you.
