Meet Mike. He is a real catch, and that's not just because I'm his devoted daughter.

Living in a rural village in West Dorset, he loves the outdoors. He enjoys daily walks with the labs, Smudge and Whinnie (the other girls in his life, there's only 3 of us, it's okay!), sailing with friends or one of his many brothers, travelling, helping my brother to fix up old cars, using his green fingers to grow vegetables (and the best sweet peas I have ever seen- but I'm not sure that's so masculine so maybe forget that). He is an alright cook, bit of a meat and two veg man, but enjoys trying new things.

He is a little bit of a creature of habit, so now that I am off traveling the world (following in Dad's footsteps) and my brother is off to University up North I think he needs a little bit of a helping hand at trying to find someone to spend his time with.

I think the ideal person for my dad would be someone who loves to laugh and be outdoors, who isn't afraid to get involved in activities, enjoys socialising at their local pub, can understand a dry sense of humour, can get involved in a good debate, loves dogs (labradors in particular) and generally someone who is kind and willing to stick it out.

My dad isn't perfect, but I really think he is a great man. For me it is so important for my parents to be happy, and I would really like dad to find someone who he can share everything he does with. Because he is quite an exciting old man!
