About her
According to various friends I'm slightly bonkers, somewhat overenergetic, dependable, loyal and sometimes too trusting. If you're looking for all of this, then perhaps you have already got yourself a spaniel/collie cross. But if you're looking for a human version, then please get in touch! I am really hoping to find someone who: wants to share lots of adventures, small and grand; thinks that life is better when you share the ups and downs; and thinks that having a partner brings something extra to the table (and I don't just mean supper!). I'd really like to make someone's life richer and happier for having me in it. The main attractions here are my ability to move my eyes independently of each other, do the rubix cube and bend the top part of my thumbs back beyond 90 degrees. What more are you looking for?
PS. the HongKongShooey moniker is a childhood nickname to do with my surname, and sounding like Hong Kong Phooey - the awesome but useless cartoon crime-fighting dog. It's NOT because I'm into shoe shopping.
About her ideal match
Ideally, I'd be with someone who loves being outdoors and active as much as me, otherwise we might not see each other much! If he loved being in, on or under the sea in some fashion too, that would be a bonus as I love surfing, swimming and scuba diving. If I'm not in the water, I'm generally up a hill or on a bike. Anyone looking for a woman who keeps herself constantly in mascara and heels would be highly disappointed in me! I do have dresses and fancy shoes in the wardrobe, it's just that they're hidden behind the climbing gear and the hiking boots!
Music is a big part of my life too (playing and listening), so a shared love there would be great. I'd love to find someone who wants to go to live music events.
Overall, I guess I'm hoping to find someone who's interested in experiencing life, not just existing and working for material gain. I find it attractive if someone has a passion for something or a zest for life. Honesty, a good moral compass and a love of adventure are all things I look for, along with the ability to talk about the big stuff and the daft stuff, and laugh a whole lot (with people not at people). And if you come bearing a dog* and/or a campervan in your life, so much the better (*sorry chihuahuas, you don't count).
