I am a sociable person but I also like quiet time. I'm at home wandering around cities and enjoy theatre, particularly the absurd kind. My film knowledge is sketchy and could be improved, I like the quick wit of comedy classics. Charles Laughton in Hobson's Choice, running at a flight of stairs set to topple him is sublime - he's a comic marvel. I've an idea that there's much more brilliance out there that I've yet to see.
Every now and then I have a whim to learn something new, last year it was how to swim - not quite a fish yet. Since lockdown I've acquired a window box, I'm torn between letting the chives flower and eating them.
