Recently moved to Birmingham for work and looking to explore the West Midlands with someone special.
I know it may sound odd but I enjoy my job, however as it is quite intense, I try and make the most of my time outside of work.
I enjoy keeping fit by spinning, running, playing tennis and skiing, as often as I can and if my bank manager lets me!
My favourite pastimes are socialising over a good meal, either cooked by myself or in a restaurant, catching up with friends and family, who are all very special and important to me, but happy to widen the circle for that special someone.
Enjoy travelling and discovering new places, but in recent years this has taken second place to bring up my children, now I am dependant free, I would like to travel more, either a weekend city break or further afield adventures.
One of my oldest and best friends recently described me as:
“funny, strong without being aggressive, independent without being selfish, incredibly thoughtful, ”wanty" rather than “needy”, as happy with the Isle of Wight as Verbier. Her family and friends adore her - she's lovely inside and out!”
Looking for a grown up relationship and while I do not need to be first priority in someone’s life, it would be nice to feel special and loved.

This is all foreign territory as I have not done this kind of thing before so I am not sure what I am looking for in my match other than friendship, fun and company.
The qualities that I look for are, I guess what we would all like in our partner honesty, kindness, happiness and thoughtfulness to name but a few!!

I've known Maria since the very first day of university nearly 30 years ago, and we've been firm friends ever since. She is great fun, intelligent and loyal with a well-honed sense of humour, and of the absurd.
