I'm looking for a man to sweep me off my feet! I'm not into one night stands, I am looking for someone I can spend the rest of my life with. I am very easy going, gentle and a good listener - but also confident and outgoing. I'm a bit of a homebody but also love holidays (sight-seeing rather than too long on the beach), weekends away and family time. My children have their own lives and it's now time for me!
Lived in France for a couple of years, have run my own businesses in the past but have now chosen quality of life (a less stressful environment) over big business - and am really happy with this. I enjoy am dram/singing (badly - but it doesn't matter: it's with a great bunch of people) and volunteering. Telegraph/Sunday Times over the Daily Mail; intelligent, thought-provoking conversation over gossip; radio four over trashy TV (although there are a lot of good things on TV too!).
Itching to explore Italy (especially Pompeii and Herculaneum, Venice and Florence) but somehow feel I should learn some Italian first! Would love to know more about wine (love a glass of red - but don't know an awful lot about it). Also love good food and the theatre. There is so much to learn and explore out there - I'd love to find someone to do it with!
What am I looking for in a partner? Someone kind and considerate. Maybe a bit spontaneous (like me). Someone I can have good conversation with, someone I can learn from. You don't have to be adventurous, bungee jump, jump out of planes, be a scuba diver or a mountaineer....just a normal, happy, sensible man with a sense of humour. If you like pubs and clubs (except olde worlde with log fires!), smoking, reality TV and motorbikes then we are unlikely to be a match. Ditto if any message consists of simply 'hiya'.
