About him
When I read some of the perfect profiles on dating sites I soon realised I would not match their qualities and expectations. I am not a work of fiction, and yet have discovered that a character in a recent children's story is named after me, who is portrayed as a dancing GP!
I have developed a passion for running. I am not to be confused with those middle aged men in Lycra who are in constant search of a medal collection. Running has given me a balance between commitment and freedom, and is another way to count my blessings. I have reached a point where I wish to share that sense of fulfilment and joy with someone special as I cross the finishing line. I search for a partner to share wonderful moments in the greatest race of all, life.
My interests vary from travelling to running and keeping fit, occasional dabbling with creative writing, all kinds of films and collecting soundtracks, and cooking exotic dishes!

There is no checklist to define an ideal match, after all love itself is the perfect imperfection! If I get carried away with my imagination I would describe my match as someone who can connect with me by appreciating my deepest thoughts and dreams. Afshin is one of my best friends. We met at work about 14 years ago. He is intelligent, entertaining and good company and he always can talk on any subject. Roger, my husband, and I believe that someone out there is really missing out on a great relationship: he is kind, thoughtful and generous. He has a great sense of humour and we have had some very entertaining evenings with him. He is a good cook and brought round a special porridge when I had the flu once, it was one of the best cold remedies ever. He is the only person who we have been on holiday with and not got fed up with, he's like a member of the family. He is very easy to be with and is happy to join in with any activity you suggest. The three of us often go for a Friday night curry and good gossip, but Roger and I would like him to have someone with him on these occasions, as they would enjoy being with a great bloke!
